DR. REGINALD GATESDOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC Since 1990 Dr. Reginald Gates has focused on delivering comprehensive natural health care alternatives to address each patient's individual needs with the goal of restoring the body to maximum function. Dr. Gates holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) degree from McMaster University, a Masters of Science degree in Organometallic Chemistry from McMaster University, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (cum laude in academic and clinical), in which he received the Marilyn Philips Award, which is awarded to a student who has show leadership and service to the student body at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and then completed the fellowship in Sports Sciences for field practitioners and the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation from York University and the Chartered Director degree from The Caribbean Governance Training Institute.

Since 2001, Dr. Gates has been Quality Assurance Assessor of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario which is the licensing body of chiropractors of Ontario. He received the Presidential Award of Excellence and Certificate of Recognition for this service. Dr. Gates has also served as a Council member for the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, during which he was the Chair of Advertising, Fitness to Practice and Patient Relations, as well as serving as a committee member for the Registration and Discipline committees and elected as a non-council member for the Patient Relations committee.
Since 2007, he has been an Examiner with the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board, in Hamilton, Calgary and Montreal. As well, a member of the Item Selection committee for the design of the National Board written examination. He was the chiropractor for McMaster Men's and Women's Varsity Swim Team for over 10 years and a chiropractor for Team Canada's Kickboxing and Karate teams for over 10 years.
In addition he was also an Instructor of Pathology and Sports Injuries for over 8 years at the Canadian Therapeutic and Trillium College and a Mentor for Science and Chemistry student at McMaster University since 1999.
Dr. Gates is a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, Ontario Chiropractic Association, Canadian Chiropractic Association since 1990 and the Hamilton Business Executive Organization since 1994.
Since 2014, Dr. Gates has volunteered as a chiropractor at Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre.
Dr. Gates served his first term as a Director of the Chiropractors of Ontario after joining the board in 2018 as a member of the Research Committee and is currently serving his second term as a part of the Finance and Audit committee . Dr. Gates has volunteered on the Ontario Chiropractic Association Return to Practice working group, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was also a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association awards committee.

At the Burlington location, Dr. Gates works alongside two psychiatrists. This office also serves as location for the Rapid Access Program (formerly Inter-Professional Spine Assessment and Education (ISEAC) Clinic).
In Hamilton, Dr. Gates is a member of the Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre. The Core has been addressing the health inequities such as poverty, racism, discrimination, unemployment and homelessness.
